Made to Measure Curtains

There a are 2 options when measuring for a blind:
1. Inside Recess Fitting
This is the measurement you need for when you want the blind to fit inside the recess
We just need measurement a to b for the width and c to d for the height
We would advise measuring in 3 places for both the width (a to b) and the drop (c to d) and using the smallest measurement
Don’t make any deductions to your measurements, we will do this for you after you’ve ordered by taking (1cm for wooden and roman blinds, 3.5cm for roller blinds) off your given width which will ensure the perfect fitting of your blind
If you want the blinds making to an exact size please tick the outside recess fitting option as we then make to the exact sizes you provided.
2. Outside Recess Fitting
This is the measurement you need for when you want the blind to fit outside your window recess. The measurement you take here is the exact size you want the blind to be made to
Measuring the width (e to f) we recommend 7cm wider each side of the window to help minimize outside light.
Measuring the height (g to h) we recommend 10cm above and below if there is no obstacles in the way.
Measuring Curtain Width
For measuring curtains we need the curtain pole or track width not the width of the window.
1. Measuring for the width when using a curtain pole
Measure the length of the pole between the 2 finials (decorative ends)
2. Measuring for the width when using a curtain track
Measure the full width of the curtain track
Measuring curtain height
Curtains can be hung to the floor, to the window sill or below the sill. We recommend that curtains are hung to:
1. Pencil & Pinch Pleat curtains on a pole
When using a curtain pole, measure from the underside of the curtain ring to where you want the curtain to finish at the bottom
2. Pencil & Pinch Pleat curtain on a track
When using a curtain track, measure from the top of the track to where you want the curtain to finish at the bottom
3. Eyelet Heading
When measuring for eyelet curtains, measure from the top of the pole to where you want the curtain to finish at the bottom
