Ian Mankin’s Suffolk Large Gingham Check Flax is a charming 1-inch check pattern woven in warming neutral tones. This classic design enhances Ivory and Natural colour schemes with added depth and visual interest. Ideal for both made to measure curtains and roman blinds, this versatile fabric brings a timeless touch of elegance and warmth to any interior.
With hand finished headings, weighted corners and blind sewn hems, all our curtains are professionally made in the UK to a showhome finish.
For measuring curtains we need the curtain pole or track width not the width of the window.
1. Measuring for the width when using a curtain pole
Measure the length of the pole between the 2 finials (decorative ends)
2. Measuring for the width when using a curtain track
Measure the full width of the curtain track
Measuring the Height
Curtains can be hung to the floor, to the window sill or below the sill. We recommend that curtains are hung to:
1cm above the floor
1cm above the sill
10cm-20cm below the sill (or 2-3cm above the radiator)
1. Pencil Pleat, Pinch Pleat and Tempo Wave curtains on a pole
When using a curtain pole, measure from the underside of the curtain ring to where you want the curtain to finish at the bottom
2. Pencil Pleat, Pinch Pleat and Tempo Wave curtains on a track
When using a curtain track, measure from the top of the track to where you want the curtain to finish at the bottom. Please then take 3cm off this measurement.
3. Eyelet Heading
When measuring for eyelet curtains, measure from the top of the pole to where you want the curtain to finish at the bottom
